AGoldPhoto celebrates milestone with Third Annual Fundraising Road Trip
AGoldPhoto reached a major milestone this week, raising more than $100,000 for animal charities, photographing more than 2,200 pets and hosting over 200 fundraising events since July 2016. Founder and lead pet photographer, Adam Goldberg is celebrating the best way he knows how - by embarking on a road trip to raise even more money for animals.
The third annual Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser Road Trip starts in Tampa and culminates at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. Adam, Mary, his wife and Chief Snuggler at AGoldPhoto, and their two dogs will get on the road and make 12 stops along the way, including Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, Kansas City, KS, Denver, CO, Albuquerque, NM, Dallas, TX, Tallahassee, FL, and more. The goal is to photograph 200 dogs and raise at least $7,000 for animal charities. Pet parents can reserve a spot for the upcoming trip by visiting AGoldPhoto.com/RoadTrip.
“They say pets adopt people, not the other way around and that’s how I feel about my job,” says Adam, “it chose me.” His journey started out at the Humane Society of Broward County when he was tasked with updating the shelter’s photography program. Over the next few years, Adam taught himself the basics of photography and perfected the art of bringing out an animal’s personality on camera. Since then, he has photographed hundreds of animals, helping them get adopted. On weekends when he’s not working, you may still find Adam volunteering his time at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Animal shelters know the importance of pet photography. "We've always been huge believers that positive, happy images of animals help save lives,” said Claudia Perone, Content Management, Best Friends Animal Society. “We're looking forward to seeing our sanctuary animals through Adam's lens and how these photos can help promote adoption with a first impression - that moment you see an adoptable pet's photo online and fall in love. What's more, when we collaborate with people like Adam, we have the opportunity to save even more lives."
