The Animal Abuse Defence Registry - Kickstarter Project
July 24, 2014
Pretty much everyday I receive an email about a Kickstarter or Indiegogo project with a request to please promote it through my blog. I really wish I could help everyone and I do tweet out as many as I can. I just can post them all. However, this one really caught my eye and definitely needed to be "out there".
Camille Block of Vernon, BC, has started this very worthwhile project called the Animal Abuse Defence Registry. The Registry lets users confirm that anyone adopting an animal doesn't have a criminal history with animal cruelty. There is a very sad reality that this kind of registry is needed to help protect the innocent animals out there. But necessary - to avoid what may be a very hurtful or life threatening situation.
I really encourage everyone to take a serious look at this project; a system that could make such a HUGE difference in the lives of animals out there. Of all kinds. Even a $5 pledge can add up to helping this come to fruition. And to note, the various options for backing this project are especially suited for shelters, breeders and vet clinics.
Thank you Camille for taking on this worthwhile project and I look forward to writing an update once the Registry is up and running. I am very confident you will reach your goal.

It is a shame that this sort of thing is needed for animal protection. Such a worth Kickstarter idea though!
