After adopting his dog, Lola, from an Arlington, Texas shelter last year, Travis Watson was determined to find a way to give back to the millions of dogs waiting in shelters and rescues for new homes.   The solution was Be Pawsitive, where pet parents can purchase a monthly organic treat box for their dog. The "Buy One, Give One" philosophy is that for each box purchased, Be Pawsitive donates another box to an animal shelter or rescue organization.  The customer can recommend a shelter or rescue organization to be added to the list of recipients at checkout.

"After learning that more than 3 million dogs end up in shelters across the country each year, I felt compelled to do whatever I could to help," said Watson, Founder of Be Pawsitive.  "The treats we donate not only provide a healthy snack for the dogs but also help with obedience training to get them ready for new homes, and also serve as an "ice breaker" for the dog and potential adopter during their first meeting.  The treats are really making a difference.

Be Pawsitive, which launched in June 2013, strives to provide the highest quality, all natural organic dog treats for all dogs.  Treats are not mass produced, but rather baked in small batches for quality control. Each month, pet parents and shelter dogs receive a new flavor of dog treats, which include:

  • The Original
  • Rise and Shine
  • Pizza Party
  • Power Berry
  • Banana Split
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Relax
  • Iron Dog

Mmmmmm.  Sounds good to me! Be Pawsitive treats are made in the USA with all-natural ingredients and are USDA-certified organic. That is very reassuring to pet parents that they are giving their beloved pets a healthy treat.  (and one that makes a difference to others)

In addition to the month's supply (approximately 55 biscuits), each box contains either a fun goodie or a gift card/discount code for other awesome dog products. Another nice addition is an update on how Be Pawsitive is helping shelters and dogs waiting for new homes.

There are three monthly subscription options to choose from.  Monthly plans at $24 a month, $66 for three months ($22/month) and the best value is $108 for six months ($18/month)  What's nice is that customers can also give the treat box as a gift.

Animal Shelters or rescue organizations that are interested in receiving treat donations can email Travis at travis@bepawsitive.com to get added to the list of recipients.

What a wonderful way for pet parents to treat their dogs to delicious healthy biscuits, knowing that dogs out there are also receiving the same.   I wish Travis all the best in his venture and encourage people to check out www.BePawsitive.com to learn more.
