After some serious reflection, I have decided to post this on my advertising page. Every day I receive several emails from companies wanting to advertise/promote their pet products or services on my blog. I am connected to thousands of pet lovers. From all over the world. Pet people "get" one another. Which is why I love being a pet blogger. And being a pet lover.
Businesses however seem shocked that I charge a fee to promote their product(s). And when a fee is stated, it's always too much for them. Even if it's under $100. And an offer of a bag of pet treats in exchange for a blog post is just plain silly.
A business wouldn't expect a magazine to give out free advertising. I guess in a nutshell, I am "done" explaining why bloggers charge. My time is valuable. And I don't sell-out my readers.
So if you're looking for free marketing from bloggers, I'm not your gal.
I'll continue my blogging journey and supply information to my readers and social media followers that I believe will be of interest to them.
And when you do come up with a marketing budget in your company, I'd be happy to connect with you.
I am always looking for people with a passion for pets to contribute to The Pet Blog Lady blog. Pet-loving peeps like to stick together and share their love for our furry, feathery and scaly family members. I'd love to feature your article and if you don't have images to go alongside, I can provide them, copyright-free. Articles subject to approval.
NOTE: I don't accept articles from writers who are offering me "free" content rich article that contain links to companies or products. That includes Infographics.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Bloggers are obligated to disclose to their readers any compensation they have received (monetary or product-wise) as outlined in the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guidelines. This protects the blogger and the companies they are working with. Such disclosures must be made on the post itself.
DISCLAIMER: I do not promise sales and/or an increase of customers for businesses who advertise on my blog. I also do not offer post metrics. I am able to offer you a connection to pet lovers (your target audience) through my various social media outlets and a permanent presence on a popular and steadily growing pet blog.
"If you’re looking for a blogger to give you professionally focused attention, one who is influential in the pet blogger community, and one with a dynamic personality, Lisa Taron is it! She’s connected to people everywhere, not just pet people. If you work with one blogger this year, it should be Lisa. Be aware – she will bring a whole lotta other bloggers with her!

"Lisa Taron is a dynamo and affectionately dubbed “The Pet Blog Lady” by her peers and her own self-definition. She is, however, so very much more. A talented writer, insightful and tapped into the pet industry, Lisa Taron is a connection to have in social media, blogging, and a definite asset in representing your brand. We met online through the power of pet blogging and I highly recommend her representation".
