When I looked up the word uncommon, the Merriam-Webster definition is: Not often found, seen, or experienced. Not ordinary. Remarkable or exceptional. (On a side note, I swear I went to high-school with a Merriam Webster. I bet she won every spelling bee she went into.)
So listen up, peeps! To start off my first Holiday Gift Guide post for 2016, I want you to first promise me you won't be going same old, same old this year for Christmas shopping. You know.....Drugstore soap sets, gift cards, grey socks, gadgets "as seen on TV".... Borrrrring.
There is a place to shop that is far from boring. In fact, it has so many remarkable gifts that you won't have any trouble finding gifts for everyone on your list, including pet lovers. Christmas gifts should bring people joy. I have always felt that way.
UncommonGoods is just the place. Creative, fun, memorable gifts. Their website is very well laid out, for optimal gift "cruising", I like to call it. You can search by person (i.e. men, women, kids, teens...) price, interest and even special collections.
They have gifts for peeps who love pets and for pets themselves. They have a selection of over 100 items that have been specially selected for the two and four-legged loved ones in your life. (They also have wonderful gifts for nature and bird lovers too!)
I should be called the Pet Blog Budget Lady as I know we can all be stretched during holiday gift season when it comes to managing our shopping funds. Finding a gift with "wow" under $25 can be a challenge. I'd have to say that UncommonGoods is THE best company website for items under $25 that have that cool factor.
And I can't go much further without mentioning their Balloon Dog Night Lights. I tried to take photos of my blue one but my camera just didn't do it justice. Love dogs? Get one. Seriously. I use mine in the evening before I fall asleep as my gratitude light. The light remains on for 30 minutes and within that time I think of all that I am grateful for.
So go forth and shop with pride, knowing you are choosing gifts that are uncommon. Because common is boring and boring is a no-no this year. Remember?
